This year I will be offering Fatherhood sessions for the first time! One of my clients, who booked her motherhood session, mentioned to me that she wanted to book a session for her daughter and her husband for a fatherhood session. After their session, I knew I had to do more of these sessions. I’ve leaned towards motherhood sessions because I know the love and connection between a mother and her children, both from the child’s perspective and the mother’s perspective. I’m also familiar with how hard it is for mothers to get into the frame with their children because they tend to be the one behind the camera, capturing the shots. But, what’s truly important to me is capturing the love and connection that ALL parents have for their children, whether it’s a mother or a father.
The relationship children have with their father is different from the one they have with their mother, and I want to celebrate those relationships. I want to document what that relationship looks like and how it feels. Is it filled with funny dad jokes or quiet tender cuddles? Is it a lot of tickling and laughing? Is it a deep respect filled with life lessons? Is it a little bit of all of that? What do you want your children to remember about this time in their lives with their father? Let’s capture that!
So I’m kicking off June with Fatherhood sessions! All month long, I’ll be offering them, so you’ll be able to schedule before and after Father’s Day. This is the perfect Father’s Day gift because it will pay dividends for years to come, for the dads and the kids. Each session will last around 30 minutes and you’ll receive 20-30 hand-edited, high resolution digital images to download. You’ll receive a print release so you can print the images as many times as you wish. If you’d like to purchase as a gift, I also have gift cards available that can be emailed to you or sent through snail mail. Just message me if you’d like a physical gift certificate to be mailed out to you! I hope you consider this type of session for the father and the children in your life!
At the end of this post, I’m sharing a blog post from a fellow photographer from Miami. If you’re pregnant and looking to decorate a nursery, you’ll definitely want to check it out!
Thank you for checking out the images from a couple of fatherhood sessions! Hopefully they give you an idea of the connection and love I can capture between a father and his children. I will be booking these all month so make sure to schedule yours!
And now, here is the blog post about Interior Designers in Miami. Even if you’re not in Miami, Melissa has some great tips on how to prepare, not to mention the links to interior designers with wonderful portfolios full of great ideas! Enjoy!
